I am adding a small desk next to my cabinet and getting new granite. The desk will have a darker remnant granite.. And sits between the lower cabinet and a chair rail. The counter granite will sit flush to the tile backsplash. I will have a bulletin board framed under the shelf. Do I need a granite. backsplash because of the chair rail? The chair rail has been cut even with the desk.
