Is polished nickel a lot of maintenance? I love the look, but am considering going with polished chrome instead because I hear polished nickel needs polishing.

I have used polished nickel in many of my kitchen and bath projects. There is no additional polishing on the nickel vs. the chrome. They are both shinny, so you will probably see fingerprints on a polished finish of any color compared to a brushed finish.

I like the warmer color tones of the polished nickel vs. the more blue tones in the chrome.

Agreed...polished nickel looks more luxurious to me than it's chrome counterpart. No additional polishing needed for either. Nickel sinks, though, are another story all together.
