Any ideas of landscape would be greatly appreciated for the front of this house.

Beautiful house. What climate are you in? Does the house face south?

You might get an arborist out to look at the large tree. Some trees cannot be planted under or watered in summer. What kind of tree is it?

well a walkway to the front door would be lovely.

does this house have a driveway or a garage? connecting those would be nice just for ease of use.

grass probably wouldn't do well, and would look out of place in any case, so maybe see about planting a mini wildflower field instead of grass?

it's super cute, though. love that yellow door.

If you were a client I would start by getting spiral topiaries to put in place of potted plants you have now. Purchase great pottery or urns to plant them in and it will draw attention to your entrance. Adding window boxes with seasonal planting will continue to make the house the focal point. These two additions will make a huge impact and give you time to decide what your next addition will be for your landscaping project. O be sure the spirals are at least 4-5ft. tall and fill the window boxes full. It will be GREAT!! Hope this helps!

Hydrangeas all the way around the house...blue mop heads. Red geraniums in the pots. A bed of ground over or hostas under the tree with a cute birdbath.

You need a flower bed running around the sides of the house, I would suggest hydrangeas for that. Add a walkway to the front door (in the same brick as the porch), and then line the walkway with plants of some kind - I'm thinking a trim boxwood hedge or something similar, but the particular flowers are up to you. Also, I'm sure you already know this but you need to put grass in the yard. :) Good luck.

Dianellas like to grow under trees. Compost, not fertiliser. Australian plant with blue flower.
