I have carpet in mine and love the softness when I'm getting dressed and it's quiet when I'm trying on shoes

We generally have carpets in bedrooms over here in the UK but if you don't need the carpet for warmth then might be better to carry the wood through so that the floor doesn't change too much (wood, to carpet, to tile). You could always put a rug down. Plus if you keep your shoes upstairs then wooden floors might be better and easier to keep clean (unless you're more disciplined than I am and keep your shoes in pristine condition),

I am doing a bathroom open to bedroom right now. Had the same conundrum,. Decided to go with tile and place a large cow or reindeer rug on a diagonal over both carpet and tile join to link them as per Shelley's suggestion.

I would normally say tile with same as bath, but in this case it might be nice to use the same wood as the bedroom for a more dressy look in your closet. Then add a special light fixture. So tile would be utilitarian, wood would give you a dressy look. If large enough space add a small upholstered bench. Have fun!
