What color should I paint my accent wall
November 13, 2013 in Design Dilemma
I'm moving into an apartment that has dark hard wood floors. I have a light grey couch. I was wondering what color should I paint the accent wall? What color should I pick the accessories to give light to the room? Should I add a rug, if so, should it be a shade of the accent wall? And lastly, which wall should be my accent? Should it be the first wall you see when walking in? Or the wall the back of the couch will lay against? Thanks guys!!

Originally I was thinking grey/white with touches of yellow or green.

These are my options, the first one is where the tv would go, the second one is where the couch would go

It is always helpful to start from a painting, a pottery, a pillow, a rug that you love and own. Use the combination of colors on that object for your rooms.
This is what I have done, I have used a painting.

Should it be the wall it lays on or the wall you first see?
