What climber is on the trellis? Is it Clematis or climbing hydrangea?

    The white flowering plant along the fence and growing over is Sweet Autumn Clematis (Clematis ternifola). The plant that is growing up with posts of the pergola is Wisteria.

      It looks like common white jasmine (Jasminum officinale). Pink ones are common in landscape.

      Is the sweet autumn clematis planted in pots? I have planted in ground but wasn't sure how well it would do (or how long it could withstand) in a planter vs ground?
