Spanish hacienda porch
November 17, 2013 in Design Dilemma
The exterior wall of this photo has 1 French door (to kitchen/livingroom) then kitchen window, then window the size of a French door (bedroom). I would like to create the feel of an 1800's Spanish hacienda with double arches, sitting porch...a place to escape the 100 degree days. Exterior is brick, painted that could possibly pass for adobe. Easy care a must. Ideas??

Your porch is screaming.............great potential here for a rest haven sitting area. First, can you take a picture from the lawn looking at the expanse of the porch with the doors and windows which you speak. This will help with suggestions for types of patio furniture, etc. What a lovely spot you will be able to create with some comfy patio furniture, outdoor carpeting and potted plants and flowers, looking at that gorgeous lake!
