I have just painted my living room Coastal Gray Benjamin Moore. I wonder if I should go through out the dining area and kitchen with same color. My kitchen will white cabinets, white back subway tiles, black granite or soapstone. Same wooden floor throughout. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a good 'safe' option to use the same color throughout.

It looks like your dining area and kitchen get lots of natural light and that those rooms flow into each other without interruption. What would you think about going with a darker gray in the dining area and kitchen? I think it would add a little more excitement to your re-do.

I tend to agree with the other pros. This is a safe color choice throughout. My suggestion is to consider pulling a more darker hue from your other elements in the room. The natural light is a tricky sort and using certain color can bounce off the walls a bit. Hope this helps!
