I purchased this tumbled marble for my backsplash on our kitchen, what do you think? Is this a winner or should I go with something else?? Thx! ( also planning to go with a light gray for the grout)

Looks great! Tumbled marble is always a nice texture against polished countertops.

Thanks! Forgot to mention, they are quartz countertops, I have also gotten feedback ( from my mom:) ) that the tiles have to much tan in them for the countertop.

In the photo, it doesn't look like there is too much tan. They actually match your countertop.

Nice but too boring. Pulls look brush nickel? I would go stainless subway tiles. Add some interest. Change plugs to stainless covers too. Take it all the way up.

Stainless is nice idea, would look great, but a little too pricy!

Stainless is cheaper than what you are showing. Shop on line for price.

Looks good! The subway tile will look good on it's own, but, if you want to add some interest you could add a band of mosaic or stainless tile about 2/3 of the way up the back splash.

I found the tumbled marble abot $4.00 per sq ft, don't see anything online for anywhere close, if you know a site, let me know, Thanks!

And I meant if you know of any cheaper stainless steel subway tiles sites, not marble. Thx

I like the marble (no accent stripe, and I'd suggest grout as close to the color of the stone as possible). But I don't think any of us can tell you whether the tones are exactly right with your counter because colors simply don't read true on the computer screen or in photographs. So, keeping in mind your mother's concern, ask a couple of friends to come over and look at the counter and tiles together and see if they think there is too much tan. Personally, I don't see it in the photo you've provided.

don't tell them you're concerned about the tan.

just ask them if they like it.

that way, they aren't LOOKING for tan.

You might consider glass and get some color in your kitchen.

Did you already buy the total amount needed? Will splatter from stove make cleaning them difficult? (are they smooth or rough texture.) There needs a punch of color to break up the all same color/tone flow.

The backsplash will look nice .. I would go with a grout color the same color as the tile.

Is there is another color in the area that you could use ...(orange, blue, green?) I would choose for myself a back painted glass backsplash.

I like it too. I feel your pain. It took me months to decide on a backsplash. Then the one that I chose was discontinued! Final choice honed marble subway tiles pictured below. Then there's the grout choice! I also have a quartz counter.

I like the look but it will be difficult to keep clean. I recently went through a remodel and after months of looking, reading, viewing we went with this.

I like the tumbled marble ( although it s a safe and kind of bland choice) and.and I like he idea of stainless steel tiles. If they are pricey- why not use them as accent tiles and place them In little groups or in a small pattern interspersed within the marble ?
