Doghouse and Shed Dormers

4 Doghouse dormers with pediments on main part of house. Planning for over garage doors. Right now plan is another 2 doghouse dormers. Thinking we'd rather have a shed dormer with some type of pediment treatment. Anyone have any thoughts or have this type of situation?

Is this a remodel or new construction? Can you post some pics or drawings?

You could place two doghouse dormers with a shed dormer connecting them. like this (a Nantucket dormer)

I would keep dormers the same but Sstar has a great idea if you must have both.

Thoughts? Be gentle! Had two dogshed dormers over garage, but felt we needed and wanted more usable space and light upstairs. The garage is set back 10' from the front of the house, which you can't really tell here. The back of the house has this same dogshed dormer at the other end of the room.

Based design on our favorite house in the town we just moved away from. With a few tweaks. Cedar shake roof, white Hardie siding, Essex green Timberlane shutters. Courtyard parking. Need feedback on the shed dormer. Thank you!

I don't need to wait for the new shutters; I will submit one for our former home we moved out of last week!
