What to look for in a foyer/entry room floor?
December 1, 2013 in Design Dilemma
What kind of floor should we be looking for in our entrance hall? We want a durable surface that's not slippery and also doesn't show dirt easily, as it will be the most walked on surface in the house. Our entrance is small but the ceiling is two stories high, so although it's a high ceiling, we fear a dark surface could make the room feel small and even darker. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Ceramic tiles or natural stone would be ideal.
