Kitchen Lighting Help Needed!

Hi all, we are mid-kitchen renovation and encountering lighting dilemmas. Our electrician installed can lights, but we have a sloped ceiling and the lighting appears totally patchy, cold and there is a horrible glare. Anyone have ideas for how to fix this? We are also planning on hanging two glass pendants above the island. Thank you!!

Did your electrician put the lights on a dimmer? Once you get your island pendants in, you could dim the ceiling pots down.

What brand of cans are they and what style of trim is in them. It looks like a PAR halogen bulb, but it is hard to see anything with the lights on.
