I think I understand your question and the answer would be no, the counter should overhang just the cabinets (25.5") and not project all the way out to the depth of the refrigerator.

No, I agree everything else like the sink and dishwashers and counter top come in industrial standards , It would just make a headache for everything else you plan to do in the kitchen. What happens most of the time you change one thing and it just snowballs from there on. Belinda . Interior Design
