Master Bathroom Help! White subway tile too informal?
December 4, 2013 in Design Dilemma
I love the clean, classic look of white subway tile, but was told by many that it is too informal for a master bathroom. So far I have a Victoria and Albert York tub http://www.remodelista.com/files/img/sub/victoriaandalbertsyorkbathtub-0204.jpgthat is the focal point of the room, white vanity with carrera top, and Moen weymouth hardware http://www.kbbonline.com/kbb/content_images/Moen_Weymouth.jpg. I would LOVE to use white subway tiles for wainscot and in the shower, but worry that it is too informal for a master? Also love the look of carrera on the floor, but need something more durable. Could I get away with carrera basketweave in a shower niche with white subway? Bathroom is gutted and contractor is losing patience. HELP! :)
