living room chairs that aren't twins?

I am re-decorating my small living room that has room for a loveseat and 2 chairs. I am torn between a wing chair and a club chair vs. two of the same chair. I fear that if I get 2 different chairs, the room will lack symetry. Thoughts?

Not always a problem, you can link them with cushions or similar fabrics

Is one more comfortable than another? That might help you decide. I like the idea of two different chairs, but see your point about symmetry. Given that the space is small, two matching chairs might make it seem bigger.

Two different chairs can work with similar color or pattern

Or, you could have one of the chairs match the loveseat. I have a chair that matches my sofa and then the second chair is in a coordinating pattern.

I would recommend the two different chairs. Possibly consider the use of throw pillows in the same family to unify the furniture, or stain all the exposed wood in the same color. Too much symmetry can cause a space to lose intrigue.
