want to update my Dining room table

I have a medium Oak pedestal table and Windsor style chairs from the 1980s. I love the table. I would like to update my look by adding new (comfortable) chairs. It is just my husband and I and we are updating right now to a more modern look but do not want to sit on plastic :) Any ideas?

Can you attach some photos of the dining table?

How about those modern covered dining room chairs? I don't know what they're called as I'm not into the modern look, but they do look nice.

Have you tried putting cushions on your current chairs?

I did try cushions but it is the busy look of all chair rungs that make it feel so outdated to me.
