Are these walnut veneers or solid? what stain/brand works best?

This design is a mixture of veneers and solid walnut to achieve the bending and banding we used veneers and other areas we used solid walnut. Your cabinet maker should advise you on the type of stain, the color was one i mixed for my client. Regards, Susan

They are recommending just a clear coat but I don't believe they have worked extensively with walnut so I was seeking another opinion. I like the clear coat but want something long lasting. This is for a basement wine cellar area so it's not exposed to much natural light. Thank you!

Natural walnut is just beautiful! With your location and it not getting much light then you shouldn't have a problem with the walnut lightening. Hope it turns out great..love wine cellars! Regards, Susan
