Houzz is the new way to design your home.

What suggestions do you recommend for someone who lives in a rural area and can't find interior design help that suits our personal and unique sense of style? My husband and I live with our three children in rural South Georgia (house where he was raised). We have been married 15 years and beyond ready to begin a plan for updating, redesigning (modernizing) our 1970's (Brady Bunch style) house. Our house is unique and amazing as it is, however the dark, outdated decor and variety of wood and stone designs doesn't suit our young and outgoing personalities and very active family of five. We strongly believe our home has lots of potential and great bones for a fabulous, updated home in the country. We have been apprehensive to begin any changes without professional guidance and a larger overall plan before we decide where we would like to start investing our time and money. Our home was built and designed in 1976 by my husband's parents so it is not only sentimental, but the home in which we will plan to happily live and raise our family in for the rest of our lives. Please help us end our search for unique professional(s) that will help us in our remote area, to create the perfect spaces we will be proud to call "Our Home".
