Sliding Barn Door Ideas for Master Bedroom/Bathroom Seperation

Just rented a home in FL, and looking to install some kind of door to separate bedroom from bathroom. Current active duty military and I get recalled at all times of the night, would like to be able to shower without the light beaming into my wife's eyes, and vice versa. Ive seen some pretty nice Sliding Barn door ideas, just trying to see if there is a kit or whats the best, and most economical way to make this happen. Im currently deployed but ive asked my wife to post some pictures when she can, ive attached a picture of what the entry to the bathroom looks like. Thanks in advance!!!

Check with your landlord and see if such construction will be approved.

Dytecture thanks for the reply, he doesn't mind as long as it can be removed when I leave.

I don't know if cost is a concern, but your least expensive option is going to be the outdoor galvanized ones they sell at Tractor Supply. They are pretty clunky and rustic looking though (we used it for our outdoor shed). The only other ones I personally have ever seen are the very expensive (and more refined looking) ones in the back of magazines like Atomic Ranch and Architectural Digest.

Hardware price is posted at $195. You could probably purchase or make the door. Good luck and thank you for your service.

Depending on your taste this is cute and might be a fun design for the bedroom.

You can do a search under products for "sliding barn door" and get many pictures with some prices to see what you want and get ideas.

We recently did a project similar to yours. It was the most cost effective way to close off a bathroom from a hall. Also it is user friendly DIY project. This is the hardware supplier I used. http://www.realslidinghardware.com/
