Wrong paint color?

I think we painted the wrong color in our foyer/upstairs walk up. The color is Compatible Cream by Sherwin Williams. The color is in our kitchen and family room. I thought it would be good to just have the same color continue into the foyer and upstairs. It looks great with our wood floors but it just doesn't feel right with the cream colored carpet throughout our upstairs.

Any suggestions for a different color? I love earth toned colors - would like to stay in that color bracket. Thanks in advance for suggestions!

A light khaki color will keep you in the neutrals family but take the edge off the brighter yellow. If you'd like to slightly deviate, a soft sage green will create nice contrast with the woodwork. I hope this helps!
