i live in the forest and do not have a lot of direct sunlight on my property. I need some sort of lighting for th walkway into the house and for security. Is there any type of solar lighting that does not need direct sunlight to make it charge.

have you looked into the "solar tubes"?. they are installed in your roof and capture any sunlight and funnel down into the room's ceilings. they magnify the light greatly too.

I'm quite sure there are solar lights you can put along a walkway. My husband and I were talking about them recently, but I don't remember the particulars. Google 'solar lights for walkways' and you should find them.

I am sorry, I misunderstood the question. You can buy lights that plug into the outside electrical outlets. There are usually 6 or 8 on one cord with a power cord at the end. You just need to find the place to plug in. They are sold at all big box stores like Lowes or home depot.
