Matching window treatments

Hi. I have pleated blinds in my upper level windows of my home but need to cover all of the lower windows. Do they have to be the same or can I mix up the styles since the front lower windows encompass different rooms. Three are garage, a set of two in the office, a bay window that is our formal living room and another set of two windows in a casual extra room. I like the idea of shutters for all but need to consider other options as well. Any recommendations?

Window treatments could be different for each storey, and also between the front and back. Not recommended to be different if they are on the same elevation.

Thank you dytecture. That's what I thought but was hoping it would be ok to do different as long as they were all the same color. Keeping my fingers crossed that interior plantation shutters will fit my budget then it won't be an issue!

finally had my meeting re the window coverings and since shutters do no look to be a viable source thinking of going with 2" wood blinds. I figure I can dress them up or down with curtains/draperies in the future. any drawbacks i need to be aware of? Never had them before.
