We used Calcatta marble for all three locations in this bathroom and we feel that consistency in a material palette makes a bathroom feel timeless and serene. We don't worry about being matchy-matchy at all in bathrooms, in fact we feel that too many materials can lead to a busy and cluttered palette. However, we do love to mix up the tile sizes within the same material and in this bathroom we used 12x24 tiles on the floors and custom cut 4x24 plank tiles on the walls of the shower for visual interest.
