Kitchen counter
January 17, 2014 in Design Dilemma
I am building a house with a kitchen that open into a great room. Builders model has a step up counter that seats four to six. I am thinking of doing a one lever counter with seating, that seams to be what all the designers are doing now. Any thoughts.?

I am building a new house and need a bright neutral color. Thing about a pale creamy yellow?

One level bars are great for adults and older children - not so easy for little ones and the infirm - so consider that too when deciding ! Having a long run of bar stools can look pretty cool - However sitting two on one side and two or three on another side (ie at 90 degrees) is better for conversation !

Is it for an island or peninsula? A higher counter height is ideal if you want some separation between the rooms while still being connected visually.
