20 x20 great room addition how many windows?
January 18, 2014 in Design Dilemma
I am trying to plan my addition which will be 20 by 20 off the back of my cape. I want a mud room area, gas insert but am not sure what else. The back wall will be the fireplace and tv with built in bookcases on both sides.

Do you think we need windows on that back wall or just on the two sides. The room will open up my kitchen. Maybe a breakfast nook?

I don't know where to begin. To get accurate quotes I need to get my suggestions ready.

Thanks for any help!

Why don't you browse through the room photos and find ones that are similar to what you want so you will something to show your contractors?

As to whether you need windows in all 3 walls, I would say yes, but the number and style is strictly up to you.

You begin with a budget and plan. Where is your cape?

I am on the Cape and I have seen this builder’s work. He did a house in Orleans. I see there is an office in Sudbury. Very nice work. http://www.houzz.com/pro/encoreco/encore-construction
