Were these pavers poured in place? How thick are they and are they connected in any way (re-barred together)?
How is the turf secured since it is such narrow strips?
How much soil is removed between the pavers for the grass to be installed?
Is the lawn also artificial?

I have been wanting to do this for my pool deck and hope to get it done in a couple of months.
Thanks so much! Beautiful work!

Conservation Grass
This project was designed by Harold Leidner Company. I believe the slabs are 4" thick and are connected with rebar below the grass. The grass is secured to a decomposed granite base using landscape spikes.

Another option would be to recess the joints about 1/2"-3/4" below the top of the slabs and glue the strips to the concrete, thus creating an integral concrete pour with less chance of movement. positive drainage is critical to ensure that all water flows away from the pool and structure. Visit with your pool contractor about placing all expansion and control joints in the recessed portions so they are concealed with the grass.

The lawn is real, which is why the designer chose to separate the grasses with the concrete border. Good luck with your project.

great idea on recessing the joints. It would also save money on building each paver form individually! I appreciate your input.
