Hello, this wood ceiling was reclaimed boards that had the natural "weathered" finish on them (no new stain or color was added). Thank you!

Beautiful! I wish I could get my new Douglas Fir ceiling to look like that. We've tried staining and painting but its still not as great as yours! Bravo!

Hello I saw your question. I have achieved this same look with douglas fir re sawn and heavily distressed. Then finished with a product called ecco wood. It can be purchased on line from home depot. It ages the wood to a wonderful green grey color. It looks like yellow water going on and takes about three days to a week to turn the wood. It is a great sealer also. But I like to top this with a product called Penifin in the cedar color. This enhances the colors. I did my whole ceiling in the home I am building and everyone wants to know where I got the reclaimed beams!

Thanks so much Sue. I wish I'd learned this sooner! It took so long to achieve the right color, but in the end we did. We bleached and stained our boards which had been roughed up a bit. Sounds like you have a great plan there. Glad it worked out for you. Thanks!

Is this the company? If so, can you please specify which finish you used? It's beautiful!
