Stainless steel sink would be a more durable choice.

Stainless steel because it's neutral...eye pleasing with styles/colors of most counter + cabinets. I've been looking now for a stone sink to replace our bathroom porcelain one but haven't seen one that really!! looks good.

A major mag really dissed granite composites. They cracked easily. 16 or 18 guage steel rated best, all have potential problems. If you drop things like I do fireclay or porcelain aren't great choices. Consider a sink bottom rack, they are costly but I'm told really protect the steel.

Thanks for all the comments. Going with stainless. Also ordered a panel dishwasher. Smaller kitchen will look great with the panel-I hope-:). Now on to picking the granite counter.
