Area rug size for very large and long living room?

About to buy an area rug for our sunken living room, which is right off our great room. Room is approximately 13' x 23'. The room is a bit long and I'm choosing between a 129" couch with chaise or 169" couch with wedge. Attached is a VERY ROUGH floor plan (disregard notes to the side - those measurements are old) and a pic of the space (great room is too the left - there are three columns in between the two rooms). I'm planning on going with a custom 10' x 16' rug. Do you think that's the right size? I plan on the furniture being neutral shades with the rug and pillows adding color/interest. I've also attached pics of the rug. Thanks so much for any help you can give!
