The panels are suspended slightly from the ceiling, and the blue lights (which are part of the panels) shine up at the ceiling. I hope this helps, and good luck to you!

If you live in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area I can refer you to some Audio Visual/Home Theater showrooms, or you could do a google search for one in your area. Any of them should be able to provide you with this product or one like it.

I would google "fiber optic ceiling panels" and do a little research. You could, put these in a living room, but keep in mind they are obviously better suited, and will be more appreciated in darker spaces.
