why not paint one chair in white with pastel blue seat and other accents, and then paint the other white to....upholster the seat in a Cath Kidston kind of fabric. then either paint the bench white and blue to match or buy two or more new chairs, maybe antiques so they are all different! you should paint the table legs white....then stain (dark) and distress the table top.

Here I want to know what I could do with the chairs. Painting the table leg white sounds good. I'm familiar with Annie' chalk paint. What colors would be good for the chairs. I would like to step out of the box a little bit.

There's a lot of things you could do there! You could certainly paint the legs of the table, and the legs and backs of the chairs. Have you tried a chalk style paint that doesn't require a wax? I LOVE this stuff use it on all sorts of things and it's ULTRA durable. HOWEVER depending on the wood you have it will BLEED through the white. Mahogany is a monster and takes more coats than most, you should prime the wood if it's mahogany or anything like that.
