Replacing tub?

Love it! We are renovating and have a whirlpool acrylic bathtub that we were going to reposition in the room. Question... Is there a life expectancy of an acrylic tub? (Ours is 21yrs old)

Well the average whirlpool tub is holding approx 600 lbs of water when filled, plus the human who sits inside, so there's quite a bit of stress on an acrylic tub. I do not know the average lifespan, but I would say a 21 yr old one might be due for replacement depending on how much it was used.
