If it is 3 or 4 years then right, keep a tub for resale. But if you are thinking ahead 10 years, well, you might need to redo a bathroom when that time comes anyway and you can put the tub back in.

My sister did the same thing and found that trying to bathe the grandchildren in the larger soaker tub was not possible. Too deep and the wider tub deck made it too difficult to comfortably reach over.
