removing a preformed shower stall and replacing it with a tile shower. walls will be 4 X 8 white glossy. floor is about 3' x 3'. not sure what kind of tile flooring I should be considering. What as slip free as possible and easy cleaning. any ideas? also cost is a factor $20.00/sf or less

Generally use matte finish smaller tiles on a shower floor. A shower floor is required to be sloped so a smaller tile on a mesh sheet will mold to the slope of the floor. Smaller tiles also mean more grout lines and that helps reduce sliding. We don't like to use anything larger than a 3" x 3" tile on a shower floor - unless it is a situation where there is a curbless shower and a channel drain is used.
