Not sure what to put on wall

Because of the stone work on the fireplace and the irregular shape of it I'm not sure what to put on the wall. The width of the wall is 75" and the heigh at the top point of stone is 75". The top of the door is 80". I am decorating in a Spanish/ Tuscan style. I wanted to add color I am using southwestern colors.

whatever art speaks to you, whether paintings, prints, or colorful ceramic plates use an odd number of items and hang them asymmetrically. Fill the void and move up and over the fireplace.

Maybe a colorful kilim rug? They make great wall hangings. If you got one without long fringe you could even hang it diagonally to follow the line of the stone work.

That is so unique & beautiful, I would not take away from it. This really needs a 36" round iron medallion to the right, just above the fireplace.

I didn't want to clutter the area with too many items and I was afraid to position them oddly. The plates would be colorful and beautiful. It is a foyer so it is the first thing you see as you walk into my front door.

I liked the idea about the round Medallion. I thought round too. But don't you think I need more color than just wrought iron? That is what is throwing me off. Everything is so neutral there.

Victoria what about an idea of putting a lanterns on the wall? I think it will look a bit different and unique also. Lanterns are coming in all varying sizes so that you can choose one among them which is suitable for you. See here pic.
I had them from http://www.justartifacts.net/

I will just trying to find the perfect piece. What about a large round copper mirror or do you not hang a mirror that high?

The sunburst mirror could work because the mirror area is small.

I wanted to update the status of my dilemma. I didn't find anything colorful but found this iron piece that I thought looked very pretty. Thank you all for your help. What about a rug under chairs?

This is my space it is a very large foyer. You can see that the tiles in the middle of the floor were done in a circular pattern so I didn't want to put a rug to cover it. I thought I would put one under the chairs. Any ideas?

I like the idea of the metal piece but it might be better if it was smaller and hung lower. Right now it sort of dwarfs the fireplace. Something like this?

Would you be willing to try either just one chair on the right of the fireplace or turn the two chairs to face the FP at angles? Just to see how that looks (pics would be good)

I LOVE the iron piece that you found, Victoria, because it is in scale with the entire space with the fireplace below. It looks like this circle may be about 8' in diameter or so??? If so, I would do a 6 or 8' round within that circle.

Thank u! I was struggling if I should cover the circle or not, they aren't decorative and I think the round rug would be perfect. I will do that. Thank you for taking the time to give me your professional advise.

8 foot would fit perfect and there would still be a line of round tiles around the rug

If your doing the Southwest style decor, I just discovered this wonderful artist in Taos New Mexico who makes lovely wall art he calls "wall jewelry" and they come in various shapes and sizes. His name is Thom Wheeler. You can see some (he actually has more than what's on the site) of his work here: http://www.thomwheeler.com/wall_jewelry.htm

I think the stonework is quite unique but I happen to think that the two arm chairs are somewhat competing with the stone and is over shadowing the beautiful stone work.

You need a beautiful round entry table with bright fresh flowers in the middle of the stone floor- the floor is beautiful but cold looking.
