what is the best and most durable flooring for dogs?

I need to change the carpet and wood floors that my dog has basically trashed. I need to get something durable but it has to look good.

    Tough one. it is more about the finish. Even a hardwood (oak) will scratch with a poly or a glitza finish. If you use a semi matte finish and a wood with a lot of grain, thhe scratches won't show up as much. Don't blame the dog. hardwood floors are fun to slide on!

    Check out the tiles that look like wood planks. I used a dark grout to hid the muddy paws.
