Help me choose a backsplash 18" between cabinet-countertop .
1st pic shows giallo granite, 3x3tile , accent murel, Pencil rope or thick .
2nd pic shows 3x3tile with accent idea.
3rd pic shows a rough sketch, i have in mind.

6x6 tile at base line.
3x3 tile double line with accent.
Should i add 3x3 diamond

I like photo #2 the best.

Photo #1: the tile color does not go with the granite!

I am no expert, but pic 2 is better than pic 1 (dark grout on square tile is distracting and 80's looking). If your granite is busy, like giallo, keep the backsplash simple - it will wear well over time and trends. Rectangular tiles lengthen a space; are they a consideration or are you committed to a pattern of squares on a diagonal?

Any Backsplash style is good.
The 3"x3" tiles shown in the 1st pic, would be placed in diagonal pattern.
But i want new ideas.

Have you considered maybe using glass tiles as an option...glass tiles would be an elegant light generating addition. You can go with a neutral field tile and accent with a splash of color. This can be achieved by using anyone of our 37+ standard formats or 15+ Architectural assemblies, giving you a truly custom experience just for you. Wishing you a great day.

I really like your sketch. We would suggest you do the diamond pattern on top and on the bottom, in other words eliminate the 6"x 6" tile at the base line. The diamond pattern will look more custom and will be less heavy.

In photo #1 the tile has a pink-beige undertone. The granite has a gold-beige undertone. I'd look for a tile that had the same undertone as the granite.
Another option is to run the granite up for the back splash as well.
Granite is a wonderful back splash. Tile designs on back splash can get a bit busy.

Oh I see! I actually really liked design #2 the best. I think it looks more consistent. If you did go with design #1 there would have to be a transition between the diamond and the 6" x 6".

They are all nice. Account for where your outlets are when plotting the design.

I like #2 because all Giallo family granite are rather busy, so I think bigger tile may be better
