Small commercial office
Middle Bay
March 20, 2014 in Design Dilemma
I am trying to lay out a small office area but also need a conference room. There are only 3 of us working out of this commercial office. I was thinking about building work stations on the wall to the left when u walk in and build conference room to the right side coming halfway to the room. I am at a road block need help. We are starting from scratch. I plan to paint walls semi gloss white and ceilings white. Painting floor a gray color. We will have a small cabinet on back wall to the left with a sink coffee pot and fridge. Any help/ suggestions
would be greatly appreciated!

Check local codes, you may be required to have an architect and get permits for what you plan to do. The architect will be able to gather the information from you and come up with solutions to meet your needs.

I wonder if there is a site called "OFFIZZ"?

I agree with Mark about checking local codes. You should also check with the fire marshall's office about the requirements for doors and other things.

Hey. I am interested in designing this for you (free), and giving you some ideas in visual form.

If you provide a floor plan with dimensions, Torin can get started.

With 3 people in the office do you need a conference room? I'm thinking a large office for the principal partner with seating would suffice, no?

Thanks guys for the suggestions on permits and fire code. Permits are pulled and my husband is actually a Firefighter. We are covered there!

We do need a conference room but I would not enclose it all the way just to the front of the office area to give a little privacy from the windows in the front of the office I really was looking to make it very modern with a cafe style atmosphere.

Dimensions of the entire space we are working with is 35.4 x 15.7. I have found some reddish maroon booths used that are in excellent condition. Just have to figure the lay out to make it a functional but comfortable working office to meet with clients. There will be 3 of us working out of this space.
