What color should I stain our new deck? Yes, it's on the side of my house, so it really needs to blend! Thanks!

Spindles like the house, railings and lattice and trim like the shutters.

Can anyone do a photoshop type thing to show me what that would look like? Or tell me what the program is and I can try to do it?

Benjamin Moore has great semi-solid stains in a wide range of colors. I agree a warm gray would look best.

A warm grey would blend well. We use Benjamin Moore solid body stain and Sikkens solid body. Both are great products.

Houssaon and sound painting, my house is a light beige, and the shutters are a darker beige. Do you still say grey? It's was a dreary day when I took the pictures.

I might go with softer grey, but I think they would blend well together. Here's a neat app if you want to try different colors. Just upload the photo.

Staining is the first Choice! And semi is the way to go but if it's old and is hard to refresh solid stain. If you have dogs that will scratch it,lighter stain is best.cream house then I would use a cool tone like birch.

I agree with grey like your shutters. Maybe a darker grey so if the colors aren't an exact match it looks purposeful.

Oh my goodness, so I know this looks like a preschooler did this, but I tried! This is supposed to be spindles like the house, everything else like the shutters. The colors aren't right, but I can't seem to be able to change them. I'm going to try grey next.

I think I like the first colors best, what do you think? Spindles light beige, everything else medium beige. OR stain the whole deck medium beige like the shutters but do the deck floor darker?

Does Behr wear well? Or stick with Cabot, Benjamin Moore?

Ok and let's just pretend this doesn't look like a Dr Seuss book... Do you still like charcoal best in the spring? Or medium beige (matching shutters)?

I like that the charcoal grey just makes it blend in with the surroundings. The medium beige is too light in my opinion

Last question... Went to pick up a Cabot stain sample, and now they only make acrylic, not oil based. More environmentally friendly, which is great, but will it still seal well and last as long? Thanks again.
