Need help with my new studio apartment

I'm moving into a studio for the first time and I'm struggling with how to arrange my furniture and what makes sense to buy in such a small space.

I'm not a big TV watcher, and I tend to use a laptop, and having flexible, comfortable furniture is important to me. I enjoy lounging and working on different surfaces, or reading, more than having a desk.

I do like to have people over, but I'm worried about the comfort of a murphy bed or day bed as my primary sleeping area -- I think I will be optimizing for the wrong thing. :)

So my thought right now -- maybe get a small, two person table with two chairs, in front of the "burger window" that goes between the kitchen and the living room.

Then, maybe a platform bed up against the window, that I could throw pillows for lounging.

And that's about as far as I've got. One of the closets (the one that opens parallel to the bathroom) has two hangers, the other closet in the living area has 6 shelves.

You might actually look into some outdoor furniture for a lounge bed. A lounge/daybed could work too.

You may also want to consider a screen or pass-through bookcase to visually divide the "bedroom" area from the living area. I like your table and platform bed ideas. Consider whether the radiator will have enough room to "radiate" with a bed against it though.

This bed is beautiful and comes with extra storage (a big plus for you, I'd think)http://www.potterybarn.com/products/stratton-bed-with-drawers/ But there are also lots of bargain options http://www.walmart.com/c/kp/storage-platform-beds
