Wall paint to go with oak floors & oak cabinets (oak overload)?
March 25, 2014 in Polls
Just discovered hardwood oak floors under our linoleum in our kitchen (these pics don't show the floor refinished yet, of course). The problem is our cabinets are also oak. I love color (my existing wall color is a deep red orange with yellow ochre accent wall...I'm an artist with a love for color) but I'm afraid that will look too dark in this small galley kitchen now. When I had white on the walls, it always looked like primer to me so I'm afraid of using white. Suggestions?

We just found a color that we love for our kitchen. Maybe it will work for yours?

White often does look like primer, but I would suggest playing with the lighting. A pure shade of designers white, with the right lighting will open up the space and look nice.
