Turning a horse themed kids room into a neutral guest room.

I have an odd shaped room with a faux horse stall made from 1 x 4 cedar. I think I want to stain it grey to "weather" it, replace the horse with some kind of "view" picture, have a full sized bed in the room with some storage and desk area. The current furniture is too big for the room. Windows and angles are a problem! Oh, did I mention I"m bad at decorating???

You have good ideas for someone bad at decorating. Measure room and furniture to find the best layout. http://www.copenhagenfurniture.com/RoomPlanner.pdf

I think in this case I would remove the horse stall and then make decisions instead of trying to make it work in such a small space. Take all the furniture out, you won't need it in a guest room and it will help with the placement of the full sized bed. These look like pretty small rooms but done up nicely.
