I am considering using a printed or striped grass cloth wall covering in our powder room. Is grass cloth considered to be an up-to-date design feature? Our house is three years old and generally traditional. I want it to look classic but a little modern. Thanks.
Charmean Neithart Interiors, LLC. I would say yes. I love grasscloth and use it all the time. In my design book grasscloth is classic and can be traditional or modern. I think color selection is important when you are trying to avoid things looking dated. Here are some finished rooms with grasscloth. Hope this helps you. Let me know if you need further information about vendors or color selection.

Elizabeth Reich I love grasscloth, the texture really makes a room cozy. You can keep it classic by staying with a neutral so that you don't tire of it. I've done a bold patterned glasscloth in a powder room before, in a dark sage with cream pattern and it came out beautifully. Phillip Jeffries is my favorite go-to source but there are others. Good luck!
