Entryway look

April 15, 2014 in Design Dilemma
I'd like to make my entryway beautiful and inviting. Right now it has no mirror, no console table, no wall decoration, not even paint. What would look best here? What to start with? It's quite spacious, but too many doors on each wall. Please help with ideas.

For me the space is lacking character due to the bare walls. I think if you dressed your walls the space would look more inviting...

Thank you for your comment. Yes, the space is "bare", ready to be "dressed", but how?

I need to know what is your design style in the rest of the home, I do this because when I selecting art or decor for the wall for clients I like to have a nice flow that is consistent thru-out. However , just based on what I see you can have a lot of fun with wrought iron pieces similar to what you have on your doors.

is there a light fixture? i love the doors but the window over top doesn't match... maybe a roaman shade, and a potted plant. and some art.

Tony Vincente (Pure Home), for some reason your second comment disappeared, I'm afraid I pressed a wrong button :(. I'd describe my home style ( I wish it would be styled as) as a mix of different elements (mediterranean/modern/traditional). I love iron and wood materials in decor. And you guessed it right based on my first picture (!)

Thanks Flair lighting for visual help! it already looks better.
I'm just wondering where I can find online such a wonderful interior design tool, that allow to work with the real photo. It's much easier for me than just imagine things together...

How about one large rug in the middle of the room, I like the plant in a beautiful container. How about a coat of paint in a warmer color. I would love to see more pictures to make more suggestions, I'm not sure how much wall space you have.

Some potted plants would really help. Choose wisely though. It's always the choice which matters the most.
