Should stained trim be the same color as the floor?

I would love to have white trim, however we live on a ranch and it just shows to much. So we are staining the trim. We are also using wood grain tile. Should I try to make the stain color to that?

I do not believe you should detain the trim. It is really hard to match tile and wood. So go with a warm white on the trim baseboard.

I agree. Paint your trim white. You need a little break from the wood grain. You can even paint your trim another color than white Here is one of our projects where we painted all the trim black.

Either math or go a couple shades darker. Wood trim is beautiful!
