Dear Dresser Home,
Was this a pre-finished flooring or custome stained. I really like the colour and that it has no yellow/orange tinge. Could you specify the the wood type and stain used. Thank you

Atlas Hardwood Floors Inc. Hi, this is probably a plain sawn white or red oak floor (not pre-finished...you would see the bevels)with Dura Seal spice brown stain with a water based topcoat. Just an educated guess!

brianfmc The floors were sanded and finished on site. They are 5" red oak stained with a blend of 50% special walnut and 50% dark walnut (Minwax)

kristy1215 I have white oak floors with red oak treads and railings and I actually had this exact custom blend tested on a piece of red oak for me. I'm so glad to see it in a picture! Thank you for posting this!! Is this a popular custom blend that you do in many homes? Do you have any insight on how I can mix this stain slightly different to blend perfectly with my white oak floors? I'd greatly appreciate any help you can provide!!

ccwatters Gary-Just had to say thank you for giving the specifics (twice!) of the floor. So many designers come up short when asked about the specific stain and species combination, and it is such a critical element of a room! Love that floor, and gorgeous room....so elegant, but warm and inviting too!
