Clear of dirt? There's ground cover around the stones that will keep hold back the dirt is that what you mean?

Yes, clear of dirt or mulch. I don't see any ground covers and there's not enough edge reveal to keep mulch from migrating over them. I struggle with this scenario because clients often don't do enough the first two years to allow Sagina, Thyme, or other ground covers to fully establish.
