Unlock the entire Houzz

I am trying to create a traditional yet functional bathroom for my son . I am using a dark blue gray tile(mimics the look of wood) on the floor and a beveled, white subway tile on the walls, white hexagon tile in the shower. I am torn between using a pedestal (memoirs from Kohler) which I think would compliment the dark floors, or a vanity (24" espresso color) which I am afraid would be too dark with the floor but would like the storage. I am also using antiqued brass hardware and medicine cabinet from restoration hardware. Any ideas which would be better? Is a medicine cabinet enough storage for a growing boy to use? Also, a suggestion for paint color on the walls would be great. He loves cobalt blue but again I am afraid with the dark floors if it would be too much. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
