I just bought a new house. The backyard is fully fenced, but we back directly up to our neighbors in the back. Their entire back is windows. We don't want to put up a privacy fence so we are looking for ideas for planting a that we can use as a natural privacy barrier. Help!!!

Hello Amy.
I'm not sure where you're located geographically, but a plant that will last throughout the year would be a good investment. In NJ where I live, Arbor Vitae & Cypress are popular evergreen tree choices. Bamboo is another option, but be sure to look at the "clumping" as opposed to "running" variety (the later can be very aggressive in taking over your yard).

I'm sure some landscape pros will chime in on this discussion to offer you even more ideas, so please don't despair.

The best of luck to you!
