brick floors

We recently had them painted, 3 coats of paint and 2 sealants. Within days the paint was coming

Maybe your house has slab foundation and there is moisture wicking up into the brick from the foundation--
not showing as wet but just "moist" at times...

Were these floors painted previous to your having it done?
Did painter seal them first? Prior to painting?

And I hope your painter does any repair w/o charge to you--
obviously these either weren't prepped correctly or the wrong paints/sealants were used...

No they were never painted before. We have a decorator who said they were cleaned and prepared. He is coming to touch them up but I am afraid of this happening again.
